Hormones go haywire when we are feeling sick, stressed and even if we have a bad diet.
We can get acne, mood swings, random mental breakdowns, menstrual issues and much more. YIKES! Sound familiar?
With the help of the below tips I've put together, women can keep their hormones more balanced and maintain a mentally and physically healthier life.
1. 3 raw tonic herbs, namely, elderberry, ashwagandha, and astragalus. They are beneficial for immunity, improving digestion and reduce stress in the body. Personally, Ashwagandha is a part of my daily supplement routine. Add them in your smoothie or brew them in water. I personally love Tonika's cacao creamer sprinkled on my morning yoghurt.
2. Collagen: is very high in protein, typically found in powder form. It is made of hydrolyzed collagen peptides which makes them easy to digest as compared to whey protein. If you consume collagen each day, then you can likely suppress your appetite and increase your energy levels. It is also very beneficial for your skin as it makes it tight by strengthening the skin cells. This anti-inflammatory powder can be added to a variety of food options. Personally, I use Deterra's Metapwr as its hydrolyzed, targets the cells and is blood sugar balance focused. I've noticed such a difference with this product.
3. Healthy snacks: If you are a constant snacker, then you know how it can get out of hand. While trying to break the snacking habit (that doesn’t allow your body to rest, cells to clean out between meals & causes blood sugar to go up & down) choose healthier snacks. Avoid sweets, chips, and other junk foods. Switch to healthier granola bars, trail mix or fruits.
4. MCT coconut oil: or Medium Chain Triglycerides coconut oil has steroids in it, which helps increase metabolism and keep your brain healthy. Add it to your food or your drinks to quadruple the ketone energy in your body and improve your immune system and digestion. Theres quite a few good brand options for this.
5. Golden milk: The main ingredient is turmeric, and that spice is very beneficial for mental and physical health. I bang on about turmeric ALL the time but the benefits are HUGE being an anti-inflammatory as well. You can add other herbs or probiotics to make the milk even more beneficial. I love a drop of Deterra's turmeric oil in my green tea each night or the powder we have by Melrose is fantastic.
